One man is in custody after reports of multiple shots being fired in the 1300 block of S. Taylor Street.

The incident happened March 7th around 11:30 pm when several people in the area reported hearing four to six gunshots in the area. A dark colored vehicle was reportedly leaving the scene.

When officers arrived in the area, they found a parking lot that had multiple spent shell casings. They also found an unoccupied vehicle with several bullet holes.

With the information at the scene, officers went to a residence in the 1100 block of E. Walnut St and while in the area an officer saw a man running with a firearm in his hand.

The officer ran after the subject, and with the help of the K-9 team, was apprehended with the firearm.

He is being held on a probation warrant at this time and charges will be referred to the District Attorney’s office.
