MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - At approximately 6:00 PM Tuesday night, the Manitowoc Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a house on the 900 Block of Lawton Terrace.
Upon arrival Officers discovered that the vehicle had in fact crashed in the front of the residence, with the rest of the car ending up in the living room.
The occupants of the home were in the living room at the time, but no one was injured.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as a 25 year old Two Rivers man who was determined to be under the influence of drugs.
He was arrested for 1st offense OWI, cited for possession of THC, operating while suspended, and referred to the District Attorney for a charge of Abuse of Hazardous Substance (inhalants).
Three unknown occupants exited the vehicle, fled on foot, and Officers were unable to locate them.
Police believe that speed and drugs were factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
