Man Rescued Following Train vs. Car Accident

The Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Pleasentview Road in the City of Plymouth for a car versus train motor vehicle crash Tuesday at 4:50 PM.

Upon arrival, they found the driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle.

The fire department responded by using the Jaws of Lift to successfully get the driver out of the vehicle.

The victim, a male in his seventies, was flown by Flight for Life to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for treatment.

The initial investigation reveals that the car was going southbound on S. Pleasentview Road when it was struck by the train going westbound.

Witnesses did say the train blew its whistle several times prior to crossing the roadway.
