Mel Robbins visits Local 5, announces her new Fall talk show

Local News

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — Mel Robbins, author of the 5 Second Rule, made a visit to Local 5 on the same day it was announced that her talk show would debut across the country.

Set for a September 16th launch, Robbins calls her show a daily destination for advice, inspiration, and real stories from real people, including those in Northeast Wisconsin.

Her goal is to shine a light on the issues people and families face on a daily basis.

Robbins was in the Green Bay area for a book signing and as a guest speaker for a leaders forum at the KI Convention Center.

Only a couple hours after word came down that her show was official, Robbins made her way to Local 5, a Nexstar Broadcasting station, for her first official appearance as a syndicated talk show host.

In a Facebook post, Robbins expressed her excitement, “We DID it!!! Today it is official: The Mel Robbins Show, my new daytime talk show, has cleared 90% of the country and will premiere nationwide on September 16th 🚀!!!!”

“The Mel Robbins Show is a modern take on that old school (advice talk show) format.” -Mel Robbins

In a private sitdown before shooting her first interview about her show, Robbins said the program is a dream come true.

She said her life is a testament to the fact that people can change themselves for the better; only ten years ago she and her husband were on the brink of losing everything they had.

It’s that struggle and the will she found to pull through it that inspired her Ted Talk seen by millions, a book, and now a nationwide talk show.
