Menasha Woman Shot in Car

According to the Menasha Police Department, a 32-year-old woman from Menasha was shot in the lower extremity Sunday morning while riding as a passenger in a vehicle.

She was shot while traveling on Appleton Road. 

Police say, the person who fired the gun was in the car with the woman and that the shooting appears to be accidental.

The driver took the woman to a nearby hospital where she received treatment for serious, though non-life threatening, injuries.

Police report everyone in the car has been cooperative with officials.
