Menominee Tribe Elects New Leadership

The Menominee Tribal Legislature held its annual reorganizational meeting today and elected a new Executive Council.

In an election, they voted new positions onto the Council.

Chairwoman Joan Delabreau

Vice-Chair Crystal Chapman-Chevalier

Secretary Myrna Warrington

“It is a great honor to serve as Chairperson to the membership of the Menominee Nation. Each year our
Legislature undergoes a re-organization at which time a new Executive Officers are seated. I am honored to
have been elected to serve my Nation.” Chairwoman Delabreau said.

Delabreau replaces Gary Besaw, who served as Tribal Chairman for the 2015 Legislative year. Besaw will
continue his service to the Tribe as a Legislator.

Delabreau  has served on the Legislature since 2002 and also previously held the position as Tribal Chairwoman in 2003 and 2004. Chairwoman Delabreau also held the position of Secretary in both 2008 and 2014.
