After the news broke that Mike McCarthy was fired from the Packers head coaching position, many Packers fans agreed with the decision, with others saying the organization should have given him another chance.

“He had a good run you know,” Joe Kinker, a fan, said. “Things change. We have to change.”

Another fan agreed.

“It’s kind of sad to see him go,” Daniel Huycke, a fan, said.” He did so much here. But I think for the team, it’s gonna be best, it’s probably the best that they let him go so soon, and kind of get their next coach.”

Others said McCarthy deserved to stay on.

“So like everyone is hot, we’re having a bad season, right, I mean the guy can’t help it, he’s not out there playing, he’s made a few bad calls, right, but everyone here is loving it,” Joseph Fletcher, a fan, said. “I don’t know, I love the guy. He won us a Super Bowl.”

Some put the blame on the Packers’ front office.

“You don’t fire a coach because he has some bad seasons,” Scott Rembfer, a fan, said. “We live in a day and age  where we are so quick to judge. What talent does he have? He doesn’t have a lot of talent. I think it’s a GM thing more than it is him.”
