Move with the Mayor kicks off 2016 season

Local News
Move with the Mayor is back for 2016. Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt stopped by Local 5 This Morning to talk about the challenge and other healthy outdoor activities starting up around the city.

Mayor Schmitt will kick off an extended Move with the Mayor Challenge today, June 7, with walks every Tuesday during the summer.  Walkers are welcome to join the Mayor and a weekly guest on the 20-30 minute walk around downtown.

The summer long event will culminate with a walk and healthy lunch for World Heart Day on September 29th.

The Move with the Mayor Challenge is a partnership with the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention.

The walk starts every Tuesday this summer at noon. The route will start and end at City Hall, 100 N. Jefferson Street rain or shine.
