Neenah Man Convicted of Killing Two While Driving Drunk Sentenced to 20 Years

Joseph Konetzke has been sentenced for the deaths of two people while driving drunk near Shiocton.

The 57-year-old Neenah man will serve 20 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision after pleading no contest to two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Last December, Konetze ran a stop sign and crashed into another car, killing 82-year-old David Rosol and 83-year-old Hazel Dewitt.

After the sentencing, Diane Urban -- The eldest daughter of Rosol and Dewitt -- told Konetzke "Maybe this will send a message to those who decide to drink and drive and not think of anyone else."

Konetzke was three times the legal limit when he caused the crash.
