New London Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day as “New Dublin”

Local News

St. Patrick’s Day may have been over the weekend but the Irish spirit is still alive in one Wisconsin town.

Today kicks-off the start of northeast Wisconsin’s largest St. Patrick’s day event, with the town of New London dubbing itself “New Dublin” for the week.

Leprechauns will be out-and-about today, changing town’s signs to the more Irish appropriate name.

A ton of fun activities are planned for the week, including Irish caroling, an Irish Ceili, and a number of local restaurants serving traditional Irish food, like corned beef and cabbage.

The entire week-long celebration will wrap-up on Saturday with a St. Patrick’s Day parade- the largest in all of Wisconsin. Over 30,000 people are expected to visit the town throughout the week.
