No injuries after duplex fire in Ashwaubenon

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) Two people were able to safely escape a duplex fire Wednesday around 1:05 a.m.

The Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety says it happened at 1751 and 1753 Cormier Road when they saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the back of the duplex when they arrived. Both sides were occupied at the time.

Crews were on scene for two hours battling the fire. The Red Cross was called to assist with temporary housing.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation at this time.
