Local News

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says they responded to a fire in the bag house of Green Bay Packaging on Wednesday at around 9:33 p.m. All the plant employees were evacuated and nobody was injured.

Crews found smoke on the interior of the plant floor when they arrived on scene.

The fire was contained to the dust collection unit on the roof. It was controlled and put out by the sprinkler system.

Due to the large area and amount of smoke, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department air boat was used for ventilation.

The cause remains under investigation.
