No severe damage at Blue Opus Restaurant after kitchen fire

Local News

Officials with the Bellevue Fire Department were dispatched to the Blue Opus restaurant at about 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a kitchen fire.

Bellevue Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Wachholz says upon arrival, crews discovered an active fire on a stove in the kitchen. Firefighters were able to put out the fire with a dry chemical.

No severe damage was sustained. There was one employee working in the kitchen at the time of the fire, however, no injuries were reported.

Wachholz says the restaurant should be “up and running by the end of the day.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
