Notre Dame Academy President Resigns

Local News

Notre Dame Academy says President Kevin Shaw is resigning, effective immediately.

According to Notre Dame, he has decided to step down due to personal reasons.

A national search for a new president has begun. Principal Patrick Browne is to assume the position as interim president.

Evan Lin, Notre Dame Academy Board of Education Chairperson announced Shaw’s resignation. Lin says:

“Notre Dame Academy appreciates Kevin’s contributions to the school during his tenure and wish him well.

While we are in the process of selecting an interim president, Patrick [Browne] will be strongly supported by the staff and Board while he assumes the duties of the position.

With Patrick and our administrative staff, we have an excellent team at Notre Dame Academy that will very effectively manage the school until an interim president is named.

A committee and a timetable will be established in the near future.

“While we are in a period of transition, it is important to note that Notre Dame Academy, as an institution, is experiencing great success in pursuit of our mission. We have a lot to offer as one of the premier Catholic High Schools in Wisconsin and we’re very excited for our future,” says Lin.

Shaw served as president since June of 2015, according to Notre Dame. Browne became principal since January of 2018.
