(WFRV) – Residents of a duplex are without a home after a fire.

According to Tim Bantes of the Grand Chute Fire Department, they received a call around 4:30 p.m. for a fire in a garage of a duplex. When crews arrived, the fire had spread to the house. The fire also caused heavy damage on the other duplex. The home next door to the duplex also received smoke damage.

Bantes says that the wind made it much harder to put the fire out.

Residents of the duplex are without a home, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured.

Grand Chute, Fox Crossing, Appleton, Neenah, and Greenville all responded to the fire.
