A 39-year-old woman is dead after the car she was in was hit by another car. Officials say it happened around 1:30 pm on US-45 outside of New London.
Police say a northbound car lost control and went into the southbound lane, hitting another car in that lane. The passenger of the southbound car was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupants of both vehicles were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
