In honor of Brown County’s 200th Anniversary, two local business owners, Kathy and Tony Yaggie, have created a limited edition community souvenir—The 200th Anniversary Opoly Game.
Opoly, a spinoff of the classic board game Monopoly, is intended to promote economic development and tourism while also showcasing the history of Brown County.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach explains,
“[Opoly is] a wonderful exhibit of history and economic development contained in a board game which can be shared with an entire family.”
“This is a wonderful collaborative effort which brought together small businesses and municipalities in order to celebrate Brown County’s 200th Anniversary.”
Those eager to get their hands on Opoly will have to keep a keen on social media.
Brown County will post clues to Streckenbach’s location once a month for the rest of 2018 on their “Brown County’s 200th Anniversary” Facebook and Instagram pages. If you can figure out where he is, you could win one of these limited edition games.
Following a similar strategy, game sponsor Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport will post trivia questions to their Facebook page. Those who answer correctly while “liking” their page have a chance at winning the keepsake.
