Oshkosh North High School students want to help keep people safe while they are out on the waters in Winnebago County. And they’ve come up with a great idea.
Students in the Communities Program are partnering with the DNR for the Life Jacket Loaner program.
The students will set out a kiosk at Rainbow Memorial Park that supplies life jackets that are free to use for anybody who has forgotten theirs.
They can take one from the kiosk and use it for as long as they want and can hang them back up when they are done.
The students are also accepting donations of life jackets and money to help fund the program.
