Oshkosh Police investigating strong armed robbery

UPDATE: Oshkosh Police have determined that Tuesday’s strong-armed robbery was a targeted and isolated incident, and the public is not in any danger.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police.


Oshkosh Police and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh are investigating what’s being described as a strong armed robbery.

It happened Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Elmwood Avenue in the City of Oshkosh.

A 19-year-old male UWO student reported two males wearing hooded sweatshirts approached him. He says they were carrying duffel bags with over the shoulder straps. He also says they may have been carrying a weapon and the robbers stole several of his personal belongings.
