Oshkosh residents gathered at a local high school today in honor of veterans who lost their lives serving our country.
A Veterans Day ceremony was held this afternoon at Oshkosh West High School.
Community members had the chance to see former service members in the high school’s Honor Hall.
The Honor Hall recognizes over 2,000 veterans who graduated or attended Oshkosh area high schools.
There was a ribbon cutting for a kiosk in the hall that let community members learn about the veterans by viewing photos, documents, or news articles found in archives.
The hall is especially significant today because this Veterans Day marks the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.
