24 families were affected by an apartment fire in Beaver Dam that left 15 people injured and sent 7 to the hospital.
Officials say the call came in a little after midnight Tuesday morning to the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive.
Police arrived on scene to find several people hanging out of windows on the second story of the building.
Firefighters were able to make all known rescues and extinguish the fire.
One firefighter was injured when he was bitten by a dog he was trying to rescue.
Crews remained on scene until just before 3 a.m.
There is no damage estimate yet, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
According to officials, the building is uninhabitable, and the displaced families are being aided by the Red Cross.
