Gray skies over Lambeau Field Monday afternoon reflected the mood inside the concourse.
Cheerful holiday decorations could not quite hide the frustration expressed by every fan Local 5 asked about Sunday night’s loss to the Vikings.
The 17-24 loss deflates the Pack’s record to 4-6-1, making hopes for a playoff run a distant dream.
“They need to win some games on the road if you’re going to compete and play to be in the playoffs,” Brett Bykowski, a fan from Racine told Local 5, “and they’re 0 and 6 right now.”
Tom Szyszko, a fan from Milwaukee believes the root of the problem may be in the coaching lineup.
“I get the feeling that [Head Coach Mike] McCarthy might’ve lost his team already,” he said. “They do not look motivated, they don’t appear to be playing the way we remember them to play.”
Fred Rideout of Oshkosh expressed some hope that, while the playoff are a long shot, good can still come from this season.
“There’s opportunity for improvement, opportunity for work, and we just can’t give up on them,” he siad.
