The Packers Foundation honored hundreds of grant recipients at a luncheon in the Lambeau Field Atrium Wednesday.
230 area organizations were awarded grants this year out of over 300 that applied. This year’s grants cycle focused on organizations that will direct their funds toward arts and culture, athletics, and education causes. In all, $800,000 in grants were awarded.
“The organization takes giving back to the community incredibly seriously,” said Jerry Ganoni, the foundation’s chairman. “This is Wisconsin’s team, and as a result, it’s owned by the people, and so the Packers try to give back as much as they possibly can.”
