Packers Players visit Seymour students to present check, promote fitness

Local News

Some lucky students got a chance to hangout with Packers players Tuesday afternoon as a part of the Play 60 campaign.

Mason Crosbly,  Corey Linsley, Aaron Ripkowski, and Justin Vogel visited Seymour School District students today, to celebrate schools in the district being chosen to receive a fitness grant for $10,000.

The players took a bus to the high school, spoke with students about healthy eating, and lead fitness activities.

They said that encouraging kids to be active is an important message to spread.

“I try to get that information out every time i get an opportunity,” said Packers kicker Mason Crosby, “so let’s put down those devices and make sure that we’re interacting and just at least stimulating our brains and our bodies as we go out and do something active.”

Money from the grant will be used to enhance the school’s health and wellness programming or to upgrade its fitness equipment.
