Peshtigo police, school district investigating “sexting” among students

Local News

PESHTIGO, Wis. (WFRV) — The Peshtigo Police Department along with the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department and District Attorney’s Office are investigating “sexting” among students in the Peshtigo School District.

On Thursday, April 25th, Peshtigo Chief Badgley received complaints about “sexting” on cell phones and other devices. This also includes exchanging photos.

He noted that the photos can be considered child pornography.

At this time the Police Department or the School District have had no comment but they urge parents to be diligent and check their kid’s phones to see what they have on them.
