Police Continue to Investigate ATV Thefts in Area

Local News

Earlier in September at approximately 2:31 am, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a theft complaint at a residence in the Township of West Kewaunee.

The caller stated that there were individuals removing an ATV from their property and pushed it down the road. When Deputies arrived, they saw a large box van in the area and did attempt to make contact with the vehicle but the vehicle started to drive away from the area, but while fleeing, they pushed another ATV out the back of the van.

The van eventually stopped after it left the roadway, drove into a field and came to a stop near the intersection of State Highway 29 and Trestle Road in Brown County.

The two individuals that were driving the van fled on foot but were apprehended at the scene.

The two arrested were identified as 30-year-old Joaquin Bengnio Romas Rosado of Milwaukee and 33-year-old Hector Javier Rodriguez of Milwaukee.

38-year-old Hector Figueroa of Milwaukee is also identified as a suspect, an arrest warrant was issued.

Recently, on September 26th, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the City of Milwaukee that resulted in further evidence related to an ATV that was stolen out of the Racine area.

The incident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department in cooperation with other agencies in Wisconsin.
