Police: Woman violently attacked in Appleton

Appleton (WFRV) The Appleton Police Department is looking for a suspect who violently assaulted a woman early Sunday morning.

 
Police say an adult woman was attacked outside of an apartment building on East Winnebago Street at around 4:40 Sunday Morning.
 
The victim sustained serious injuries to her face and head.  She is currently being treated at an area hospital and is expected to recover.
 
Police say the assailant has not been identified and the victim cannot yet give a description because of her condition.
 
Police are asking residents to remain vigilant and report on suspicious persons or activities to the police.
