GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) -
Prevea Health has announced that they are donating 300 doses of the life-saving drug narcan to the Green Bay Police Department.
The Green Bay Police Department started distributing narcan to some of its officers back in 20-15, and since then, the department has been involved in around 45 situations where the drug was used to save someone who overdosed on opioids. With Prevea's donation, every officer will now be trained to use narcan and will carry it with them while on patrol.
The Green Bay Police Department and Prevea Health will be hold a joint press conference Thursday, June 14 at around 10 a.m. in the training center of the Green Bay Police Department to officially announce the donation.
