For the first time, Lawrence University has commissioned an independent study to measure its economic and cultural impacts on the Fox Valley.
Upwards of 175 to 200 community leaders are on hand for the event.
In addition to President Mark Burstein, Lawrence officials speaking will include Brittany Bell, director of the diversity and intercultural center, on ongoing efforts to partner with the community on diversity and inclusion issues; as well as Ariela Rosa on community outreach efforts with area nonprofits.
School officials released the findings of the study during its 10th annual Report to the Community at the Warch Campus Center at Lawrence’s campus.
The event started at 4 PM.
Stick with Local 5 as we bring you the latest on the report’s findings tonight at 10:00.
