Professional Women’s Basketball Coming to Northeast Wisconsin with the “Wisconsin Glo”

The Menominee Nation Arena announced Wednesday afternoon plans to bring professional women’s basketball to Oshkosh.

The new team will be called the Wisconsin Glo, and is the fifth team to join the Global Women’s Basketball Association.

The team will feature a 12-woman roster and will participate in a total of 12 games in its first season: four road games, four home games, and four additional exhibition games.

The team’s season opener will be a home game against the St. Louis Surge on May 18 at 7:30 pm.

Season tickets will go on sale Friday, March 1st and will range in price from $60 to $300.

Open tryouts for the team will be held at the Menominee Nation Arena on April 12th from noon to 2 p.m.
