All year-round, volunteers across northeast Wisconsin can be seen helping others. Whether it’s shoveling an elderly person’s driveway, cleaning up a park or building a home for those less fortunate, their efforts are always recognized.
On April 18th, the 31st Annual WPS Volunteer Awards will highlight some of the best people across the area who go above and beyond lending a helping hand.
Eric Sponholtz, executive director for the Volunteer Center of Brown County, stopped by Local 5 This Morning to talk more about the importance of recognizing those who do so much for the community, and what it means to live in an area that’s very volunteer-driven.
The event will take place at the KI Convention Center.
