GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Preparations are still being made for the 20th Annual Cellcom Green Bay Marathon.

Volunteers and race coordinators gathered at the Green Bay Distillery to put together race packets. Proceeds from the marathon will go toward two charities this year- the Greater Green Bay YMCA and Greater Green Bay Habitat For Humanity.

“This is an important piece of what we’re able to do here in the community,” said Matt Harper, Director of Development with the Greater Green Bay Habitat For Humanity. “The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon, after three years, will be building a house for Habitat For Humanity so really the funds raised will help a family in the community.”

More than 700 volunteers are needed for Sunday’s event. If you’re interested in volunteering with this year’s marathon, you can find more information on the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon website.
