A reception center will be opening Friday morning at Preble High School for people that have been displaced or evacuated by the rising East River.

The Red Cross says volunteers will have snacks and other items for residents as they work with them and emergency managers on the next steps.

Both Fond du Lac shelters will also remain open Friday morning.
