Salon helps fundraise for Down Syndrome Awareness Walk

Local News

A local salon is working with a community organization to raise funds for Wisconsin’s Down Syndrome Awareness Walk.

The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin – Green Bay is partnered with Hype Hair to raise money for the Walk.

Casey Atkinson, the program manager, says they started working with the salon because the owner, Amanda Jones, wanted to give back to her community.

“The great thing about today is that haircuts are $10 for kids and $15 for adults, and 100% of all the money raised today at the salon is giving back to our walk, ” Atkinson told Local Five.

Wisconsin’s Down Syndrome Awareness Walk takes place Sunday, August 27th.

It will be at Green Isle Park in Allouez.
