A school bus crashed near the town of Humbolt Wednesday morning during the first heavy snow fall of the winter season. The crash happened around seven o’clock in the morning near the intersection of Town Line Road and St. Michaels Road. Eight children were on board. None of them were reported to have been injured.
According to the Franklin Fire Department, who were first to respond, the bus lost traction in the morning snow and the driver tried to correct the situation when the bus went into the ditch. There were initial concerns that the bus might tip over but first responders were able to keep the bus stationary.
A second bus arrived to transport the kids away as a wrecker pulled the bus back onto the road.
