Sevastopol School District in Door County was put on a lockdown.
Students discovered the threat, which was directed at a school with the initials ‘SHS’, on Snapchat.
The students passed the message onto parents who then relayed the threat to school officials.
The lockdown occurred just before 8 a.m., followed by a full school inspection by the Door County Sheriff’s Department.
Classes resumed at about 9:30 a.m. with a heavy police presence remaining at the school.
During the investigation, Students and staff inside the building went into lockdown, while others remained on the bus.
Sevastopol School District Superintendent Kyle Luedtke said they notified parents after they determined everyone was safe.
No credible threat was determined.
