After a roller coaster of a winter, what better way to celebrate warmer weather than riding an actual roller coaster?

Six Flags will open its gates Friday, April 19, for its 44th season. This year, Six Flags has a few new additions for its visitors.

Park President Hank Salemi says, “The 2019 season promises to be our best ever with the introduction of our triple, record-breaking coaster—Maxx Force and the addition of Magic Waters Waterpark to the Six Flags family.”

According to Six Flags, the park will introduce three new experiences:

  • Maxx Force, a triple, record-breaking air launch rollercoaster, set to debut later this spring
  • Wi-Fi and mobile ordering at select dining locations through the Six Flags App
  • Magic Waters, a waterpark in Rockford, is now apart of Six Flags, opens May 25

Six Flags will be open on select days with daily operation beginning May 21.
