Slippery conditions sends people to hospital after falling

Local News

Throughout the day Tuesday roadways and sidewalks have been slippery, covered with thick ice, sending several people to the hospital after falling.

Emergency room doctors say since Monday they have treated multiple patients with injuries consistent to falling.

Doctors say the number of patients they’ve seen due to falling on ice has risen this week.

Doctors say the injuries they’ve  seen come through the emergency room the past two days have varied from a hurt shoulder to people getting concussions after falling on slippery ice hitting their heads.

Medical officials say there are preventative measures to keep from falling; walking with something to hold or wearing shoes with more traction to them.

Doctors say after you fall, and you believe you need medical attention seek the help you need as soon as possible.
