Many people in the region will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Friday with Irish music, dancing, and of course plenty of food and drinks.

One of the biggest celebrations is at McGuiness Irish Pub in Appleton where they are hosting a weekend long party that started Friday morning.

There will be authentic Irish meals, live Irish music, as well as Irish dancing.

The party will continue into Saturday and Saturday night, ending at 2:30 in the morning on Sunday.

The McGuinness Irish Pub is Appleton’s only authentic Irish pub and opened in 2008.

And McGuinness isn’t the only place celebrating St. Patrick’s day in style.

Saint Brendan’s Inn in Green Bay is hosting their party all Friday long with live music and food.

And Dublin’s Irish pub is having their celebration starting Friday morning at 6 a.m. and running through Saturday with a special Irish food menu and live music.

And don’t forget about all the festivities going on in New Dublin this week.

The Shamrock Club of New London is hosting the largest Saint Patrick’s Day parade in the state Saturday, followed by their annual Irish Fest.

From Irish whiskey and beer to traditional Irish breakfast and dinner, McGuinness Irish Pub is celebrating St. Patrick’s day in true fashion.

The weekend long party began bright and early at six AM, with some customers driving hours to celebrate the holiday.

Owners of the bar say it’s a day to honor traditions, and pay respects to those who came before us.

“It’s a day for celebration. We put on a very family friendly event with all sorts of Irish music and dancers,” says Matt Miller, Co-Owner of McGuinness Irish Pub in Appleton.

They add that their selection of Irish drinks and food is among the most authentic in the region.

“The Irish whiskey’s they have… they’ve got more of a selection than any place I’ve ever worked in,” says Eddie Malone who drove to the pub from Michigan.

Customers say the McGuiness celebration is a perfect way to experience a bit of Ireland on a local level.

“When I close my eyes I’m back in Ireland. That’s how good this pub is,” says Malone.

The party continues through saturday running until 2:30 AM on Sunday.

The McGuinness Irish Pub is Appleton’s only authentic Irish pub, and opened in 2008.
