Steps for Pets raises money for shelter animals

Local News

Looking for something fun to do with your furry friend where you can help homeless animals at the same time? Well, Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary is holding its 4th annual Steps for Pets event.

The day gets rolling with a scenic 1 mile or 5K pet walk. Once the walk wraps up, it’s time to party…with pets.
You can expect: Hot Dog and Baked Potato Bar Lure Course Pie in the Face Competition The Village – interactive vendors,  demonstrations, tastings, and more.

Money raised from this event goes directly towards caring for the animals.  Things like special diets, microchips, spay/neuters, dentals, vaccinations and any additional care they may need.
The walk will be held at Meadowbrook Park in Howard Saturday, September 23rd.  People can pre-register on our website heanokill.org.  Or they can register day of at the park.  Registration starts at 11am.  The walk starts at noon, and is followed by the Fall Festival.

Registration for the walk and all the fun to follow is $20.
