Blog #10 – 12:00 p.m. update (2/23/2023)

(WFRV) – Most of the storm system has now cleared out.

The heavier snow band has left and has now moved further north and east. Most areas north of Green Bay, however, remain in a winter storm warning.

Blog #9 – 9:30 a.m. update (2/23/2023)

(WFRV) – We are still in the bulk of this storm system, with snowfall continuing into the afternoon hours today.

Winds are still very high leading to blowing and drifting snow.

Blog #8 – 6:45 a.m. update (2/23/2023)

(WFRV) – With anywhere from 6 inches to nearly a foot of snow in northeast Wisconsin, more is on the way.

We are in the heaviest period from now until this afternoon and we can see wind gusts from anywhere from 25 to 30 MPH making for very difficult travel.

Blog #7 – 10:15 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – The snow is heavy, and crashes are starting to pile up in northeast Wisconsin. If you can, stay off the roads.

If not, drive very cautiously and remember to take it easy.

Blog #6 – 6:15 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – Moderate to heavy snow is moving through much of northeastern Wisconsin at this hour.

If you can manage to have an evening indoors, certainly consider doing so, as we’ll be having a lot more snow move through our area.

Blog #5 – 5:10 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – The steady snow segment of the storm is now here and visibility in the Green Bay area is beginning to worsen.

Visibility in Green Bay is down to about a third of a mile. The worst of the snow will be between now until roughly just after midnight, and then another batch of snow will hit tomorrow morning.

Blog #4 – 4:45 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – The snow and wind are here, don’t head out if you don’t need to.

East winds are strong, leading to reduced visibility. The snow and wind will ramp up into the evening and into Thursday.

Blog #3 – 4 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – Round two is here and it is beginning to ramp up. The first round of snow brought between 2-4 inches this morning and now we have snow currently covering much of the WFRV coverage area.

The heaviest time for snow and sleet is during this current period between now and Thursday.

Blog #2 – 12 p.m. update (2/22/2023)

(WFRV) – Round one of the snowfall has come and gone and round two has just begun, primarily south of Green Bay.

We are now officially in a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. on February 23.

(WFRV) – Round one of snowfall is continuing from last night into this morning. Roads are still snow and ice covered so travel safely.
