Green Bay area public school students and the STINGCANCER group want you to join them in “Wear Yellow Day” on Friday, May 11, to help support the fight against cancer. They’re asking everyone in Wisconsin to wear yellow at their local workplaces, organizations, and schools.
Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in the United States. According to the National Cancer Institute, an estimated 1.7 million cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2018, and approximately 600,000 will die from the disease.
Wearing yellow on Friday shows support to those who have been affected by cancer, and is also an opportunity to remember those who have lost their battle to the disease.
