State Superintendent Tony Evers will be in Northeast Wisconsin to announce his school funding recommendations tomorrow morning.
Ever’s remarks will kick off the Wisconsin Public Education Network’s (WPEN’s) fourth annual Summer Summit at Appleton North High School.
The superintendent will talk about his 2019-21 education budget request that he believes will fix school funding in Wisconsin.
Specifically highlighted will be the proposals to increase fairness in the state’s funding formula and boost early childhood offerings.
Education advocates all around the state all called upon for The WPEN Summit for a day of workshops on topics related to equally excellent public schools.
Speakers and sessions will address the theme with a focus on equity, action, and doing what’s best for children and communities.
The WPEN Summer Summit is hosted by the Appleton Area School District and Fox Cities Advocates for Public Education.
