More Baby Boomers are hitting retirement every day, and it is never too late to give yourself a rejuvenating shot of energy.

‘Finding Balance Together’ in Appleton shows anyone how to keep moving comfortably well into their golden years.

It is a fall-prevention event focused on helping keep people active and upright, of all ages, featuring various screenings and demonstrations to prevent falls. 
The AARP says 10,000 Baby Boomers turn 65 every day, and Tai Chi can help lower the amount of potential slip and falls.

Falls are the second leading cause of death in Wisconsin and the first cause of hospitalization, according to ThedaCare Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator Kathi Hegranes.
The movements involved with Tai Chi can help you regain and strengthen your balance.

“[Tai Chi] will calm you down and give you body and mind focus,” she said. “If you did Tai Chi, you would be 30 percent less likely to fall.”

‘Finding Balance Together’ runs from 9-12pm, October 30, at the Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve (4815 North Lynndale Drive, Appleton, WI 54913).
