The GBPD Explorers Program Gives Teens a Head Start on Their Careers

Police Chief Andrew Smith stopped by Local 5 This Morning for his Community Update to talk about the homicide arrest following a shooting on George Street last month, how overall crime dropped 13.8% in 2018, and the Police Foundation was selected for Give BIG Green Bay.

The Explorers program benefits greatly from the 24-hour event. Coordinator and Juvenile Officer Liz Roque, along with Lydia Lloyd and Jose Del Rio-Avina with the program talked about how beneficial it is for 14-20 year olds who are looking to get a head start on their future careers in law enforcement.
