Local News

It was announced today that several area businesses and non-profits are teaming up in hopes of collecting 500,000 diapers.

The “Great Cover Up” diaper drive will run from Mother’s Day until Father’s day with many participating businesses also providing public collection sites.

Jake’s Diapers in Little Chute – a non-profit started in 2013 – hosted todays kick off announcement.

“The need for reliable, low cost or free diapers is very real for thousands of local families living in poverty” explained Jake’s Executive Director Stephanie Bowers.

According to recent yearly averages it takes around 1.5 million diapers a year to meet the need of more than 5,000 families in Brown and Winnebago counties who need a stable diaper supply.
