If you’ve been outside after dusk you may have noticed bridge spiders which some people know as dock spiders in your neighborhood.

Well, you’re not alone.

There is in increased amount of bridge spiders in Green Bay, but they only come out as the sun starts to go down.

Local Five caught up with a Biology Instructor who says if you see one, don’t worry, they won’t attack you.

“It’s my understanding that all spiders are venomous, but for the most part they use their venom to get their pray, and subdue them. So it’s not my understanding that they generally will attack humans,” said Ryan Paruch, a local Biology Instructor.

If you see a bridge spider, it’s best to leave them alone.
