Three men are facing charges of attempted homicide and false imprisonment after deputies say they beat up a man and left him in a ditch in Manitowoc County.
In the early morning hours of April 25, deputies responded to a home in the Town of Newton for a 57-year-old man with series injuries to his head and body.
The man told deputies that he was taken against his will by three men in Chicago, driven to the Manitowoc area where he was beaten, and then thrown into a nearby ditch. He told deputies that he was able to walk to a nearby home and request help.
The victim was then taken to the hospital for his injuries.
Because the man was allegedly taken over state lines, the FBI Office in Green Bay and Chicago joined the investigation.
They later identified three male suspects from Chicago.
On May 12, 28-year-old Marne Ferry, 28-year-old Christopher Calalang, and 34-year-old Christian Calalang were taken into custody in Chicago on felony warrants.
On Tuesday, the three were transported to the Manitowoc County Jail.
They are expected to be in court Thursday on charges of attempted homicide and false imprisonment.
