GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Green Bay schools will make up lost time in the form of three added minutes to each school day.
According to the Green Bay School District, the 2-hour early release on Tuesday, April 3, and the 2-hour delay on Wednesday, April 4, means the District needs to make-up time to meet the instructional minutes required by the Department of Public Instruction.
After reviewing multiple scenarios, officials determined that adding three instructional minutes to the end of the school day for all schools was least disruptive for staff, families, and busing.
The time change will begin Monday, April 16, and continue until the end of the school year.
The district added that, unless there are additional inclement weather days, the June 11th make-up day will not be needed.
