Timber Rattlers Kick Off 25th Anniversary Season with FanFest

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers kicked off its 25th anniversary season with their annual FanFest.

All fans received a voucher for a free hot dog, soda and popcorn. The team also took part in a five-inning scrimmage, getting fans warmed up for the season. 

Rob Zerjav, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers President says;

“Teamwise, really excited for the group of guys that we have, a young talented group and a lot of fun things planned for the season,”

And while the Milwaukee Brewers season is underway, the excitement is trickling down to the Timber Rattlers; 

“People are excited, it’s Brewers fever already and that’s going to trickle on down to use especially with the Brewers affiliation. The Brewers number one pick Bryce Trang is with us this year so we’re excited about that.”

Even a light snowfall didn’t turn fans away; 

“Being here at FanFest, giving us an opportunity to come out hang out and see the players practice it’s great, get to see them scrimmage, stay late see them give out autographs, it’s a great time.”

The Timber Rattlers will begin their 2019 season on Thursday in Beloit, their home opener is Saturday, April 6th.
